tonight...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight akst
tonight.

A storm in the northern Bering Sea will move to the eastern Norton
Sound this afternoon and then move inland. This could bring heavy
snow... strong winds and local blizzard conditions to the southern
Seward Peninsula coast... including Nome... from this morning through
this evening. Up to 6 inches of snow is possible. More wind and
snow may come on Tuesday as another storm follows the path of the
present one.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant winter weather hazards
are expected. This will make travel and outdoor activity very
hazardous.
