Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 5:42 AM CST Feb. 22, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... less than one-quarter of a mile at times.

* Impacts... will be hazardous travel due to poor visibility.
Motorists may encounter sudden decreases in visibility and
should plan extra time for travel if heading out this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of
you.
