PST Monday above 4000 feet...

including during the morning commute on Monday. Total snow
accumulations of 1 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 11
inches, are expected.

* Where... Burney Basin / eastern Shasta County.

* When... 3 PM Sunday to 10 am Monday.

* Additional details... be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Thursday...

* what... persistent rain, heavy at times will lead to rapid rises
of rivers and streams and may lead to some flooding. Flooding of
low lying areas is expected including in the foothills and Lower
Mountain elevations were snowmelt will add to the amount of
water in the streams and on the roads.

* Where... interior northern California.

* When... .Monday night through Wednesday.

* Additional details... in addition to the flood potential, mud and
debris flows from the burn scars, rock slides, downed tree limbs
and power outages will all be possible.
