for north central Mesa and south central Garfield counties...

At 134 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Parachute, or
36 miles west of Glenwood Springs, moving east at 35 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Parachute and Battlement Mesa.

This includes Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 73 and
85.

western Colorado through Wednesday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Flash Flood Watch for several burn scars across western
Colorado. The burn scars include: the 416, burro, west guard,
Bull Draw, Lake Christine, Cache creek, Red Canyon, Cabin Lake,
Indian Valley, and Divide fires.

* Through Wednesday morning

* thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour
are possible over several burn scars across western Colorado.
These rainfall rates may lead to flash flooding, mud slides, and
debris flows.

* Residents near any burn scars should prepare for potential
flooding impacts over the next 24 hours. Be sure to stay up to
date with the latest information from local authorities.
