... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 am Tuesday to 6 am
MST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 6 am
Tuesday to 6 am MST Wednesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer
in effect.

* Timing... widespread snow will develop on Tuesday morning and
will continue through Tuesday night.

* Snow accumulation... 2 to 5 inches of snow.

* Snow level... rising to around 6500 feet Tuesday afternoon
before falling to below 4000 feet Tuesday night.

* Winds... south to southeast 5 to 10 mph Tuesday... shifting to
the southwest Tuesday night.

* Visibility... 2 to 3 miles in snow... lowering to less than 1 mile
at times in heavier snow.

* Impacts... roads and highways will become icy and slick Tuesday
into Tuesday night including highways 160 and 550. Travel may
also be affected by reduced visibilities as a result of the
snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
