The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal Flood Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday
afternoon through late Wednesday night.

* Locations... shoreline in the District of Columbia.

* Tidal departure... 2 to 2.5 feet above normal.

* Timing... around the times of high tide. High tide at Washington
DC will be 9:16 PM tonight, 9:33 am Wednesday, and 9:46 PM
Wednesday evening.

* Impacts... through midday Wednesday, the unprotected area on the
southwest Waterfront at the DC seafood Market is expected to
flood. Water is expected to approach parts of the Hains Point
loop Road, but it will likely be closed. Shoreline inundation up
to one foot above ground is possible elsewhere. To view

potential for moderate flooding persists through the Wednesday
late afternoon and evening high tide cycle.

A coastal Flood Watch means that conditions favorable for

protect property.
