the Floyd river near James.
* Until Sunday afternoon.
* At 09am Saturday the stage was 26.12 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.00 feet.
* Recent activity... the river rose above flood stage on Saturday
September 22.
* Forecast... the river will crest near 26.5 feet by Saturday
September 22.
* At stages near 26.0 feet... flooding begins to affect the low lying
agricultural lands.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Floyd river at Merrill.
* Until Sunday evening.
* At 07am Saturday the stage was estimated at 16.50 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.00 feet.
* Recent activity... the river rose above flood stage on Friday
September 21.
* Recent activity... the river crested at an estimated 17.5 feet on
Friday September 21.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday September 22.
* At stages near 15.5 feet... the west approach to the bridge on
Plymouth County Highway c44 at the gauging location begins to flood.

* Until Sunday evening.
* At 08am Saturday the stage was 23.21 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.00 feet.
* Recent activity... the river rose above flood stage on Friday
September 21.
* Recent activity... the river crested at 26.4 feet on Friday September 21.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday September 22.
* At stages near 22.0 feet... approximately 1400 acres of farm land
are flooded.

the West Branch Floyd river near Struble.
* Until Sunday morning.
* At 08am Saturday the stage was 14.19 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 14.00 feet.
* Recent activity... the river crested at 16.2 feet on Friday September 21.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Saturday September 22.
* At stages near 14.0 feet... flooding of a significant amount of
agricultural lands begins.

* At 09am Saturday the stage was 1120.14 feet.
* Flood stage is 1117.00 feet.
* At stages near 1121 feet... some farm levees will be overtopped and
some farm buildings will be flooded.

* Until Thursday evening.
* At 09am Saturday the stage was 21.36 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.00 feet.
* Forecast... the river will crest near 22.4 feet by Sunday
September 23.
* At stages near 22.0 feet... Highway 48 begins to flood where the
Railroad tracks cross.

the Big Sioux River above Hawarden.
* Until late Wednesday night.
* At 08am Saturday the stage was 31.43 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.50 feet.
* Forecast... the river will crest near 31.5 feet by Saturday
September 22.
* At stages near 32.0 feet... water backs up into the park in
Hawarden, and some basements and sewers could begin to have
problems.
