the Mississippi River at Dubuque
* until further notice.
* At 7:30 PM Monday the stage was 13.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage Saturday morning... and continue
rising to 17.9 feet Monday morning.
* This forecast is based on routed flow from upstream in combination
with forecast rainfall. Consequently there is limited confidence
in the river reaching flood stage.

... A strong thunderstorm will affect northwestern Dubuque County
until 1030 PM CDT...

At 930 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Bankston, or 15
miles west of Dubuque, moving east at 10 mph.

Pea size hail is possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Dubuque, Asbury, Epworth, Farley, Peosta, Holy Cross, Rickardsville,
Sherrill, Centralia, Balltown, Bankston, Durango, Graf, Swiss Valley
park, Bankston park, Cottage Hill, finley's Landing park,
Lattnerville, Five Points and East Rickardsville.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm in a very
small area just north of Highway 20. Do not drive your vehicle
through flooded roadways if you encounter water.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
