Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 4:47 AM CDT Sep. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 945 am CDT for
southeastern Keokuk... southwestern Washington and Jefferson

At 446 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Two to four inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fairfield, Washington, Brighton, Richland, Batavia, Libertyville,
Lockridge, maharishi vedic city, Packwood, Pleasant Plain, Coppock,
Abingdon, Ollie, Glasgow, Pekin, Germanville, Jefferson County park,
Collett, Lake Darling State Park and Round Prairie park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
