Flood Warning
Issued: 10:06 PM EST Feb. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Eel River at North Manchester
* until Saturday afternoon.
* At 9 PM Monday the stage was 11.3 feet and rising.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 15.4 feet around 7
PM Wednesday February 21 and fall below flood stage around 2 PM
Friday February 23.
* At 15.5 feet... significant flood problems in southwest Whitley and
northeast Wabash counties along the Eel River. Mobile Home Park in
North Manchester begins to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tippecanoe river near Ora
* from Wednesday afternoon until further notice.
* At 9 PM Monday the stage was 8.7 feet and rising.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage Wednesday afternoon
and crest at 14 feet Friday February 23.
* At 14.0 feet... extensive flooding of residences and low lying areas
begins.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.4 feet which occurred
on Apr 21 2013.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and
Northwest Ohio, including the following areas, in northern
Indiana, Adams, Allen in, Blackford, Cass in, De Kalb,
Elkhart, Fulton in, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, La
Porte, LaGrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph
in, Starke, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, white, and Whitley. In
southwest Michigan, Berrien, branch, Cass mi, Hillsdale, and
St. Joseph mi. In Northwest Ohio, Allen OH, Defiance, Fulton
OH, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, and Williams.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected
through Wednesday morning, heaviest northwest of US 24 across
northern Indiana and southwest lower Michigan.
