... Snow to continue this afternoon into tonight across
southern New England...
Snow is expected to accumulate 2 to 3 inches across much of southern
New England this afternoon into early tonight. Locally higher
amounts are possible in the higher terrain areas. Lesser
amounts are forecast for Outer Cape cod and Nantucket. Temperatures
will be above freezing across much of northeast Connecticut... Rhode
Island and eastern Massachusetts until late this afternoon. Thus
most of the snow accumulation will occur on grassy surfaces and not
on pavement. Late this afternoon and tonight... however... the
snow should begin to accumulate on roadways. The snow will
be diminishing overnight.
Travelers should be prepared for lower visibility at times...
along with the possibility of snow-covered roads.
