... Flood Watch in effect from this afternoon through Thursday

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of Massachusetts and southern New
Hampshire... including the following counties... in
Massachusetts... Essex... Middlesex... Norfolk... northern
Bristol... northern Plymouth and Suffolk. In southern New
Hampshire... Hillsborough.

* Beginning between 5 PM and 8 PM this evening... continuing
overnight and then ending later Thursday morning

* periods of heavy rain likely and impacting the late day commute
today and again during Thursday morning/S commute

* possible areas of flooding especially in the urban areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
