Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:06 PM EST Dec. 11, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 PM this
evening to 7 PM EST Tuesday...

* what... lake effect snow expected. Plan on difficult travel
conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday.
Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, with localized
amounts up to 15 inches over northern Delta County, are
expected. Locations from Escanaba to Nahma Junction and from
McMillan to Newberry to Crisp Point can expect between 2 and 5
inches of accumulation.

* Where... Luce, Delta and northern Schoolcraft counties.

* When... from 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 35 mph will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow. This will lead to
reduced visibilities of a mile or less at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory for lake effect snow Means Lake effect
snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas.

Michigan...

Lake enhanced snow will continue through this afternoon.
Additional snowfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected southeast
of a line from Manistique to Germfask to Deer Park, with around a
an inch of additional snowfall elsewhere.

Motorists should exercise caution if traveling today as roads may
become slippery through this afternoon. Allow extra travel time
to reach your destination.
