A Flood Warning continues for
rouge river in Detroit.
* From now until further notice.
* At 9 am Wednesday the stage is 17.2 feet and steady.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... the river is at crest and should being
falling and go below flood stage early Friday morning.

A Flood Warning continues for
lower rouge river in Inkster and Dearborn.
* From now until further notice.
* At 9 am Wednesday the stage is 10.9 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... the river is at crest and should being
falling and go below flood stage tonight.

Areal Flood Watch

... Flood Watch remains in effect through this afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of Southeast Michigan, including the following areas,
Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb,
Midland, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St.
Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw, and Wayne.

* Through this afternoon

* widespread rain will continue into this afternoon. Rainfall will
be moderate in intensity at times. Rainfall amounts up to 1 inch
are expected. This is in addition to the 1 to 2 inches that has
already fallen across most locations over the last two days.

* Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas prone to flooding will
be most susceptible. Several rivers have already reached flood
stage necessitating flood warnings with a few others being
monitored as they continue to rise.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
