Issued: 9:30 PM EST Feb. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am EST Monday...

* what... heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
accumulations of 6 to 12 inches and ice accumulations of one
tenth to one quarter of an inch expected. Ice accumulation
will occur mainly late tonight with snow and extreme blowing
snow the main hazards Sunday into Sunday night. Winds will
gust as high as 60 mph on Sunday.

* Where... Alger, Luce and northern Schoolcraft counties.

* When... from 10 PM this evening to 7 am EST Monday.

* Additional details... power outages and tree damage are likely
due to the wind gusts expected on Sunday. Travel could be
nearly impossible especially along the M-28 corridor, where
blizzard conditions are possible Sunday afternoon into Sunday
night. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce
visibility.
