... Elevated fire weather risk today ...

Gusty winds of 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts to around 30 mph
combined with a very dry air mass will result in an elevated fire
danger risk today.

Relative humidity levels will fall into the 25 to 35 percent
range. Winds will shift from the southwest to west and northwest
during the day Wednesday as a dry cold front pushes across the
region.

These weather conditions along with very dry grasses and
underbrush from an ongoing drought could result in the easy
ignition of wildfires across the Ozarks region into this evening.
