Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 8:24 PM CST Dec. 10, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Elevated fire danger Monday...

Gusty winds of 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts to around 35 mph
combined with a very dry air mass will result in an elevated fire
danger risk Monday.

Relative humidity levels will fall into the 20 to 35 percent
range. Winds will shift from the southwest to west and northwest
during the day Monday as a dry cold front pushes across the
region. Red flag conditions may be approached Monday.

These weather conditions along with very dry grasses and
underbrush from an ongoing drought could result in the easy
ignition and rapid spread of fires.
