Now At 1152 am CST...National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of showers associated with the leading edge of Tropical Storm Ida producing heavy rain moving towards the coast. This line of showers was located from 4 miles northeast of Gulf Park Estates to 64 miles southwest of Venice...or from 5 miles east of Ocean Springs to 70 miles south of Galliano...moving west at 15 mph. This line of showers will be near Boothville at noon CST... Ocean Springs at 1215 PM CST... Biloxi at 1240 PM CST... These showers will bring rainfall rates of up to a quarter of an inch per hour initially...increasing in intensity with time to near one half of an inch per hour. In addition...this rainfall will also be capable of reducing visibilities...especially for motorists. Sustained winds of up to 30 miles per hour can be expected with this line with gusts up to 40 miles per hour possible.
