... Red flag warning remains in effect until 9 PM MDT this
evening for gusty winds and very low relative humidity for fire
zones 112 through 118...

* impacts: low to very low humidities and gusty winds will create
erratic fire behavior and an increased threat of new fire starts.

* Affected area:
in north central Montana fire zones... 112... 113... 114... 115
In southwest Montana fire zones... 116... 118.

* Counties affected:
in central Montana, Cascade, Fergus, Judith Basin
                       Lewis And Clark, Meagher.
In north central Montana, Blaine, Chouteau, Glacier, hill
                             Liberty, Pondera, Powell, Teton,
In south central Montana, Golden Valley, park, Phillips
                             Sweet Grass, Wheatland.
In southwest Montana, Broadwater, Gallatin, Jefferson.

* Wind: west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. The strongest
winds are expected across central Montana.

* Afternoon humidity: 10 to 15 percent. A few locations may drop
down below 10 percent.

* Timing: humidity values will continue to drop through this
afternoon. Meanwhile, gusty west winds will continue developing
areawide, resulting in critical fire weather conditions through
the early evening hours.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute
to extreme fire behavior.

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in these
areas of this red flag warning.
