The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* flood advisory for...
north central Catawba County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
southwestern Alexander County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
southeastern Caldwell County in western North Carolina...
east central Burke County in western North Carolina...

* until 815 am EDT Sunday.

* Runoff from heavy rain continues to lead to higher than normal
lake levels on parts of the Catawba river, mainly on lake Rhodhiss
and Lookout Shoals Lake. Flooding of low lying areas along the
shoreline and areas below the dams remain likely. People who live
near the Lakeshore and on streams that feed into these lakes are
encouraged to keep an eye on the weather and take action to
protect their property and boats.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please report flood water flowing over roads or threatening property,
or landslides to the National Weather Service by calling toll free,
1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, or by posting on our facebook Page, or tweet
