... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening...

* winds... west 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Impacts... strong winds may blow down small limbs and unsecured
lawn furniture around. The winds will also make driving high
profile vehicles difficult.

* Additional impacts... waves of 4 to 6 feet may be generated in
the Devils Lake basin and result in roadbed erosion in
susceptible areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

* Timing... late this afternoon into the early evening.

* Relative humidity... as low as 15 percent.

* Temperatures... in the upper 50s to low 60s.

* Impacts... any fires that develop may spread quickly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
