Now Snow showers will increase across the high terrain this afternoon with lighter and fewer rain and snow showers at lower elevations. Visibilities may drop to near or even a little under 1 mile at times this afternoon in the high country. Above 7000 or 7500 feet spotty 1 to 2 inch snow accumulations are likely through late afternoon... but down lower due to above freezing temperatures no significant accumulation is expected. Some locations most affected will include Chama...Dulce...Tierra Amarilla...Cuba and other locales near the Continental Divide. Gusty winds will accompany the more significant showers and any isolated thunderstorms that may develop. |
