... A Flood Warning for snowmelt remains in effect until 615 PM PDT
Sunday for LaMoille creek in southern Elko County...

At 928 am PDT, warm temperatures and subsequent snow melt as well as
recent precipitation in the Ruby Mountains will cause LaMoille creek
to remain near minor flood stage into the weekend.

It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers,
or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and
hikers should avoid streams or creeks and should make sure to keep
children and pets away from these areas.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

LaMoille creek above LaMoille.
* At 3:00 PM Thursday the stage was 4.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 4.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact... at 4.8 feet... flood stage at the powerhouse gage location
in LaMoille Canyon. Minor flooding can occur in the town of
LaMoille. Water can seep into basements near the river.
