southwestern Kershaw County in central South Carolina...
central Richland County in central South Carolina...

* until 115 PM EDT.

* At 1229 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fort
Jackson, or near Woodfields, moving north at 15 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Columbia, Forest acres, Dentsville, Woodfields, Arcadia Lakes, Five
Points, Woodfield and Fort Jackson.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 69 and 88.
Interstate 77 between mile markers 5 and 23.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection seek shelter inside a sturdy building and stay
away from windows.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways or
walk through high water.

southwestern Kershaw County in central South Carolina...
eastern Richland County in central South Carolina...

* until 245 PM EDT.

* At 1250 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected
to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Forest Acres, Dentsville, Woodfields, Arcadia Lakes, Woodfield and
Fort Jackson.

Additional rainfall amounts of two inches are possible in the warned
area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.

heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in
minor flooding in the advisory area. One to two inches of rain
have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Columbia, Forest acres, Dentsville, Woodfields, Arcadia Lakes, Five
Points, Woodfield and Fort Jackson.
