afternoon...

* what... areas of freezing drizzle will continue this morning
causing slick roads. A period of freezing rain and possibly some
sleet is expected later this morning lasting into the afternoon.

* Where... portions of northern, western, central, and southern
Oklahoma, and western North Texas.

* When... until 3 PM CST this afternoon.

* Additional details... a glaze of ice will create slick roadways
and hazardous travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain and
possibly some occasional sleet will cause travel difficulties. Be
prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while

At 823 am CST, a strong thunderstorm was located 6 miles northwest
of Lake Diversion, moving northeast at 50 mph.

Hazards include...
moderate to heavy freezing rain and sleet...
hail up to one-half inch diameter...

Locations impacted include...
Electra, Grandfield, Harrold and Haynesville.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
