Flood Warning
Issued: 7:54 PM CST Feb. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the sister Grove creek near Blue Ridge.
* At 0700 PM Wednesday the stage was 24.64 feet.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to end Wednesday night.
* Forecast... the river has crested and will continue to recede and
fall below flood stage by Wednesday night.

The Flood Warning continues for
the East Fork Trinity River at McKinney.
* At 0730 PM Wednesday the stage was 16.42 feet.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river has crested and will continue to recede and
fall below flood stage by Thursday after midnight.

Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 3:33 PM CST Feb. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch remains in effect until midnight CST tonight...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Texas and northeast Texas, including
the following areas, in north central Texas, Collin, Dallas,
Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman, and Rockwall. In northeast
Texas, Delta, Hopkins, Lamar, rains, and Van Zandt.

* Until midnight CST tonight

* additional rainfall totals of around 1 inch will be possible
with locally heavier amounts.

* Flooding will be possible in low lying areas, creeks, rivers
and any other flood-prone areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain
which may lead to flooding of low lying areas. You should monitor
the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be
prepared to take action should flood warnings be issued for your
area.
