Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 1:53 PM CDT Mar. 19, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening
for very dry conditions and gusty winds...

* affected area... counties along and west of the Interstate 35

* Wind... northwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

* Humidity... 5 to 15 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is strongly discouraged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior. Outdoor burning is not
recommended. Avoid outdoor activities that could inadvertently
cause wildfires. Report wildfires quickly to the nearest Fire
Department or law enforcement office.
