The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
north central Garfield County in southern Utah...
western Wayne County in southern Utah...

* until 300 PM MDT

* at 1200 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain over Capitol Reef National Park. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly in the Freemont river and Deep Creek
basins.

* Radar estimates up to .8 inches of rain has fallen in less than an
hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Capitol Reef National Park, the Freemont river and Deep Creek.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
west central Emery County in central Utah...

* until 300 PM MDT

* at 1155 am MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall has begun
over the Trail Mountain burn scar over 0.5 inches of rain is
possible in 30 minutes. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Huntington.

* Flash flooding may produce a debris flow which will impact
Huntington Creek, the town of Huntington, and sr-31.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If a debris flow has occurred it is important to realize that the
runout area remains very dangerous. Additional debris flows may occur
within minutes of the original flow. Please remain vigilant and be
prepared to take swift action.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from noon MDT today through this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for much of the area east of I-15 and south of
Highway 40. This includes Zion National Park, Capitol Reef
National Park and Glen Canyon Recreation Area.

* From noon MDT today through this evening

* numerous showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop along
The Spine of the mountains and across the eastern Utah valleys
today. This activity has the potential to bring heavy rainfall.

* Flash flooding is a significant concern near burn scars, Slick
Rock, slot canyons and normally dry washes. Flooding and debris
flows may impact travel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

Juan and southeastern Emery counties until 215 PM MDT...

At 129 PM MDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
strong thunderstorm 14 miles northeast of Hanksville... moving east at
30 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hanksville and Goblin Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If threatening weather approaches, take shelter in a sturdy building.

of Boulder to 11 miles north of Big Water... and moving east at 25
mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts of 40 to 55 mph will be possible.

Locations impacted include...
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If threatening weather approaches, take shelter in a sturdy building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
