counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 1:49 PM EST Dec. 16, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has extended the

* Flood Warning for small streams in...
northeastern Mineral County in eastern West Virginia...

* until 545 PM EST.

* At 145 PM EST, reporting gauges indicate flooding of low areas and
low lying roads in the area. One location that was reporting
flooding was along Patterson Creek near Headsville. The gauge
remains above 10 feet. At 10 feet, water approaches several homes
along the creek between Champwood and the town of Patterson Creek.
Moderate to widespread agricultural flooding is occurring along
the same stretch. The water level has already crested at Patterson
Creek and it will slowly recede through this evening.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Keyser, Fort Ashby, Reeses Mill, Headsville and Short Gap.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
