Statement as of 4:54 am CHST on August 5, 2015

... Small Craft Advisory in effect until 6 PM chst this evening...

Seas ranging from 7 to 10 feet are expected today... with the
highest seas in areas west of the Mariana islands.

* Winds... southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with stronger gusts near
showers.

* Waves/seas... combined seas of 7 to 10 feet today with subside
to a range of 6 to 9 feet by tonight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels... should avoid boating in these conditions. If travel by
boat is necessary... avoid sailing near reef lines and shoaling
areas. Also exercise caution when entering or leaving harbors and
inlets... as breaking waves can easily capsize a vessel.
