Forecast as of 3:40 am CDT on August 21, 2008

Now

A 30 mile wide band of showers and thunderstorms will continue to shift northeast across extreme northeast Texas...southeast Oklahoma...and southwest Arkansas...through 515 am. These storms will affect the cities of Broken Bow Oklahoma....dequeen and Horatio Arkansas during the next couple of hours...producing occasional lightning...and locally heavy rainfall of an inch to an inch and a half per hour. Other scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to redevelop farther south over extreme northeast Texas along the Interstate 30 corridor...and will move northeast into southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas during the next couple of hours. Rainfall amounts of a half inch...to an inch and a half can be expected from these storms. This may cause minor flooding of low lying...poor drainage areas especially over eastern Red River County Texas...as well as areas along a Winthrop Arkansas...to Ben Lomond line.
