Now At 2 am...National Weather Service radars detected isolated showers across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Scattered thunderstorms were also detected across far northeast Texas...just south of the Red River. Movement of the showers and thunderstorms was north to northeast at 10 mph. Through 4 am...showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage across southeastern Oklahoma...with only isolated showers expected further north across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Any thunderstorm will be capable of producing very heavy rain and rainfall amounts in excess of one half inch in less than an hour. |
