... Red flag warning in effect from 6 am Thursday to 10 am PST
Friday for gusty northeast winds and low relative humidity for
the Ventura coast and Los Angeles coast from Malibu to Hollywood

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has
issued a red flag warning for gusty northeast winds and low
relative humidity, which is in effect from 6 am Thursday to 10 am
PST Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph Thursday
into Friday morning... except 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph
across the eastern portions of the Ventura County coastal plain.

* Relative humidity... minimum 3 to 10 percent with very poor
overnight recovery.

* Impacts... if fire ignition occurs, there will be the potential
for very rapid spread of wildfire. Long range spotting, and
extreme fire behavior that could lead to a threat to life and
property. Use extreme caution with potential fire ignition

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
will be occurring shortly. A combination of strong winds... low
relative humidity... and warm temperatures can contribute to
extreme fire behavior.
